I keep reading about it. Is it just for CD's? What does jitter sound like?

It seems to be an important topic of conversation about 12 years ago.

Seems to be important for HDMI audio transfer only. Judder reduction for audio over HDMI. Has nothing to do with a specific media format. Since it was 12yrs ago, I'd expect this sort of functionality to have become standard and is no longer a "feature" that companies need to mention or it was specific to that time period and has gone the way of the dodo.
