Hello all, Can someone explain to me what a line preamp is? Is this strictly for 2 channel stereo?

highfihoney Audioholic Samurai Mar 5, 2006 #3 a line stage preamp is for all sources except phono,tape,cd,ect,if you want to use phono a line stage wont work you'll need to use a phono stage.
