What HK brand remotes will operate HK3490 receiver?

Hi. New here. I have come across a Harman Kardon HK3490 receiver without a remote control. I realize I can buy one from HK for an exhorbitant amount. Wondering if any of you know if any other HK remotes will operate at least the basic functions of the HK3490, such as Power on/off, Volume, and input device selection, etc. I am tempted to get one of the HK3380 remotes available on eBay, but not sure if it is worth trying.

I'd expect the basic functions to work (power, volume, some sources, etc...) from any of their remotes to work. That's they way all my Marantz gear has worked. Older remote should be fine as well, as long as there isn't a current function that you want to use that the older remote doesn't have. Universal remote that has the codes already built in should work as well.

Dig around HK’s web site, any receiver’s remote that looks like yours (even if some of the buttons are different) should work. I’ve had good luck getting replacement remotes dirt cheap on ebay.
