I recently bought a new Samsung TV (UN55JS8500) and Receiver (Yamaha RX-V777BT) and have a Blu Ray player, Apple TV and WDTV Live Media Player.

What HDMI Cables should I purchase for this set up. I was thinking of purchasing two new HDMI cables (TV - Receiver and Receiver to Cable Box) and just using older ones for other connections.

I hear alot of talk regarding HDMI 2.0, 4K, Ultra/Super/High Speed HDMI Cables. What HDMI Cables would some users recommend and does it make a difference to the picture and Audio by using the latest HDMI Standards. Thanks for any tips.

Dunno about others but I've got a standard HD setup with a blu-ray player going to a Toshiba 1080p capable set and I'm fine with some 6' cables I paid $5 for at Five Below.

Now, what do you NEED.

I use the http://www.monoprice.com/category?c_id=102&cp_id=10255&cs_id=1025508

I love these cables, they are so small and flexible and work perfectly...but they are one direction, i.e. from input source to TV, you can not switch ends. Easy to follow arrows on the connectors. I have a 25' and short ones. The problem I have with a lot of HDMI cables is that for short ones, flexibility, even the braided ones have issues, these do not.

Thanks for all the good information and tips on HDMI Cables. Are the below two choices okay. Is there going to be any difference b/w any of the selections we have all chosen. I guess some of it is subjective to the person viewing.

Thanks for the responses! Do I need to worry about the above cable not listing HDMI 2.0 Ready?

Seriously, I have no life.
What do you need? You need the least expensive cable that handles the signal you need now and a bit more, because they can't seem to decide when they're done screwing around with the format.

The top Amazon link shows "Latest HDMI Standard (Ethernet, Audio Return, 3D, 1080P)"- that's not the latest standard but it will work fine.
