What happened to ... ?

Hey, all. During my six month hiatus, Gasman disappeared. He hasn't been around since March. While I do wonder what happened to the man himself, I'm not going to ask you all about that.

What I've wondered for a little while, and what I will ask about, is: what happened to all of his posts? At least to me, they are all gone. He's not on my ignore list (nobody is). His profile doesn't show him as banned. I'm just curious. It's like his membership is fine, but his input (unless someone quoted him) is just gone.

Perhaps, but Gasman still shows up in the member list and still has a profile page.

A quick check on that revealed that the 'change' eliminates your user name from the members list.

He had just acquired a new Elite 94 receiver, plus a crotch rocket. Maybe he moved over to the motorcycle forum. He was posting fast..

If I remember right, TheFactor used the same idea for an avatar that Chris wanted to use, leading to Chris' current avatar. Still here or not, he was "the factor" in something that still persists.

Last I read from HiFi, he said he was working tons and tons of hours at work that keeps him away from here. I hope everything is well with his family but I prefer to think that he's not here because work and family are busy and happy.

I miss Stratman. That is a sudden and unexplained absence.

Agreed. He's a good guy. He actually posted pretty regularly through March, and his last post was in late June. His last activity was early July.

I had thought about making a thread about members who weren't around anymore. Looks like I unintentionally did that here.
