Ok so I moved my living room around the distance was 10. 3 im runing left and right speakers only. Distance with a tape measure is about 12 ft now. Just wonering what the distance does to the sound of the speakers, ill run the auto setup later cant while the kids are up. Just wondering what difference it wil make if any. The only settings i keep are the distance setting. I have 2 klispsch rp280f speakers. I run the speakers large.

Distance is another way of saying you're adjusting the delay for proper timing of signals heard at your seat. In just 2ch use I doubt you could tell the difference, tho. It's when you add a sub and other speakers it becomes more important.

Auto setup really doesn't do anything but perhaps eq with just 2 speakers, maybe adjust levels slightly depending on room acoustics.

You may get a touch more low end if the speakers moved into a sweet spot for your room.

Unless you lose or gain 3db at the main seat you will probably not perceive any change.

Seriously, I have no life.

It might affect imaging if the distance of each speaker is not that close to each other. Not an issue the vast majority of time.

Thanks to all of you, I'm just going to leave it if I turn it up to about 45 the floor startes to shake so no need for anymore low end lol. Don't fix it if it isn't broke right. Sounds great to me, I guess thats all that matters.

Likely a boost in level when you told the avr the speakers were that far away....

Oh it would vibrate they floor before that. I think being able to move the speakers out from the wall made the biggest difference the highs are not as pronounced as they where an the bass is much better, they sound more balanced now. Before they were right where everyone walked through the living room.
