Hi, Im a new member but have the basic knowledge about HT.
This is my setup:
Hitachi Ultravision 52" Projection TV
Hitachi Ultravision DVD
Pioneer VSX1015tx
Stage Speakers Fronts
Energy CC100 center
Energy CR1 bi-pole surround (wall mounted by ceiling)
Energy C100 Back surround(ceiling mounted)
Kenwood 10" Sub
Setting is Fronts to Large
All others to small
Sub is a PLUS setting

The thing is, Im lacking the bass in my sitiing position. Its nice on either side on the couch but not in the middle. Should I upgrade to a bigger sub or get a second one behind my sitting position. Please advise.

I'm not clear on what your front speakers are but in almost all cases, unless you have a pair of high-end Polks or DefTechs, the proper setting for ALL speakers is small.
My opinion is to replace your sub. I have yet to see a Kenwood anything that doesn't suck. (excuse the brutality)

Welcome.

Your sub could be the problem. So can its location in your room. Subs do create those holes in narrow locations, one seat is fine, the next one is nothing or overly emphasized.
You need to move it around where you can and see if that helps. You may need some acoustic control material that may not be acceptable by others in the family, or, you may have to use an EQ, and some testing to see what you need to EQ.

Thanks Guys,

I found a thread on here that says to put the sub in your sitting position, and stand where it sound the best. that's where it should go (or close to it). Ill try that.

I used the MCCACCAC on the pioneer to set up the sound and will continue to do so to get the best sound in each location. Thanks for the advise.

From all the reading ill probably be looking at the SVS PB12 as an upgrage sooner that i thought.

Thanks
