I gotta say, with great towers center not required. I can barely tell if I switch from stereo to some surround processing most of the time. I can definitely see why GranteedEV doesn't feel the need to add a center to his Phil setup.

Every Artist I looked at that I was interested in did not allow you do download a single song.

I just have a download folder on my PC and everything gets downloaded there, then I just move those files I want to the USB stick after there are finished.

I just have my 818 hooked up to my router and just stream the music right off the computer to the Onkyo.

Oh and this is your thread so if where ever you want to take the conversation is up to you :)
I didn't realize I started this..:) Hey Chad I need to PM you about this download stuff, my Onkyo is also connected (hard wired) to my router and my PC is close by, in my LR. I need to take advantage of all this marvelous new technology, I'm an old guy (old school too), if I can't see, touch or feel it, I'm lost..:D PM forthcoming....
Cheers

I have them (A5's) with the A1b's. The FedX guy just dropped a PSA XV15 at the door today.:) I really struggled to get that beast down to my LR, 103 lbs., the FedX guy carried it to my door by himself about fifty feet from his truck, skinny guy too. The misses was disappointed when she saw the truck cause I told her earlier to expect something big today..:D

That is one sweet sub. Congrats :D You'll have a lot of fun with that thing.

Hmmm I must be a bit daft to have missed that bit about already having them.

A1b's are the surrounds?

You don't need a center until you can add another Phil as the center. :D

I've tried using 2 speakers for movies. My family room is set up this way.

If you just have 2 speakers, the dialogue will be sharing time with all that explosion and loud noise in the movie.

But that Center Channel in a DTS-HD MA (or other discrete formats) gets nothing but dialogue. The Surrounds serve as Panning and Ambience. The Left and Right serve as the loud action sound and Panning. But that Center gets nothing but crystal clear dialogue all to itself without having to share any time with the big, loud, action sound effects of the other speakers.

Daft, you...;) Yes I have the A1b's as surrounds and going for them as rears also, mounted behind the LP from the ceiling...:)
The finish on this sub is like something I've never seen, really nice and blends in so nice with my setup and decor, it will have a brother soon (a big Brother)

There you go

I asked Jon a on several occasions about designing a horizontal A5 to use as a CC. I though about a tweeter/mid stacked in the center with a woofer on each side or a center tweeter with a midrange on each side and then another xbl woofer on the ends.

I think that would be best. Three vertical A5 across the front.
I'm really nervous now, we're starting to think alike, yes I do think that is the best way to go, no problem making room:) Thanks brother, I hold your opinion with high regard...:)

Chad, we need him to get the A2b into production, it's ready to go, I know:). I think the Swan line is getting kicked up a gear as well..:) I forsee a strong demand for both lines this holiday season;). Maybe the delay is a good thing with the A2b (I don't believe that) because now I may have decided to go with an A5 vertical center, I'm thinking and that's dangerous :D, bringing order to chaos like the Borg Man ADTG:D
Cheers

Everyone wishes he has the room and money for three large towers up front. :D

Have you seen the B&W catalogue picture where they put three big B&W 800D towers up front as L, C, R?

That's what Stereophile's Kal Rubinson has going in his house......bastard. :D

If I had the room..............oh, so help me god of speakers. :D

Says the guy who compulsively buys speakers when that money could be going towards a down payment on a bigger house :D

You won't see me buying anymore speakers or amps. That is it. No more. Scouts honor. :D

Now the money is being saved for the bigger house. ;)

Yeah Kal's setup is nice ;)
