I've been thinking about getting a projector for a while, but I played a bit with the projector calculator over at ProjectorCentral and I did not like what it told me.
My couch is only about 3.5m (~12ft) away from the front wall - and it's right against the back wall. So unless I mount the projector on the ceiling, it probably won't have a long enough throw to achieve perfect contrast/brightness. Either that, or I'll be losing out on the screen size.
Any ideas? What size HD screen would be appropriate at this distance? What about SD?
