Felt like spinning one of the many classical LPs I inherited from my father.
Franz Liszt: Preludes Symphonic Poem No. 3 and Hungarian Rhapsody No 2.
Friedrich Smetana: Vysehrad and The Moldau (Vltava).
Berlin Philharmonic orchestra, Herbert von Karajan (Austrian) conducting.
Deutsche Gramophon

Yesterday's classical. I can't say I'm a huge fan of Mahler at this point but its a work in progress. Beethoven & Schubert remain by top 2 favourites.

Yesterday's play marks the 2/3 mark through Haydn's Symphonic box set.

Another kick at Mahler..Still struggling to like his music. Some of his symphonies are vast and I'm trying to listen for a theme that never appears. It sounds like random ideas with lots of discords.
