Back in '05 i started a thread (in the "amps" forum) asking fellow audioholics "what camp are you in?" I basically stated that i put more emphasis on what a reviewer (or reviewers) heard when evaluating a component as opposed to measurements. What got me thinking about this subject again was a review over at AVS by craigsub under the "official craigsub rankings thread" concerning the definitive technology "trinity" sub. Up to this point craig has taken no measurements, only LISTENING to this sub for about a week or so. Measurements will not be taken for about a month or so due to family activities. Based on craigs observations (and my own listening at my local dealer) i would be willing to purchase this sub without knowing its vital stats. If later the measurements turned out to be outstanding, that would only serve to validate my purchase. So i throw it out again, what camp...?
