Looking for advice on what Blu-Ray player to buy. Under $700 preferably

Considering a combo Blu-Ray/HD, any downsides to one?

Looking for the fastest load times.

Looking for Ethernet connectivity.

Any new players coming out in the very near future to make me wait 6 more months?

Thanks,
Anthony

If you waited 6 months, there would be no need for a combo player... Last I saw, most manufacturers cancelled any new combo players also, since HD DVD is very nearly dead.

I'd probably wait for a release date on the new Panasonic BD-50, which will have ethernet and Profile 2.0, and I'd expect it will be around your price. It was announced at CES, but no release date has been given yet.

I heard "Spring" is the release time period. I hope it's March.

Any recomendations for a Blu-ray player that is out at this time. Seem like the ethernet thing would have been a no brainer a long time ago.
I really like the PS3 with the wireless network to update, but looking for a dedicated, slightly higher end player for another TV.
Have been waiting for the Denon, but price seems high for the connectivity that you get.

By the way, why is it so hard to find a 1.1 Bluray player. When I go to Crutchfield, Vanns, OneCall, nothing is listed on the players. I was looking at the Pioneer Elite Bluray player, but it doesn't seem to be 1.1 profile, however it does have the ethernet port.

Panasonic BD-30 should fit the bill. Any player released after October 07 is Profile 1.1.
