What are your opinions on PSB speakers?

I was on PSB's website and was surpised to find them so truthful about their speakers. In their FAQ section, they actually stated that bi-wiring probably wouldn't make any noticable difference in sound quality and that their speakers did not need to be broken in and should sound great right out of the box! I don't know of any other speaker companies off hand that were this honest, or even bothered to answer some of these questions.

I own a pair of their Image 2B's and I think they're great value for the money. Even though I bought them mostly for music, I think this series would make excellent home theater speakers as they are somewhat darkly voiced, a good trait to have for Classical, Jazz and overly bright movie soundtracks. However, they are not the last word in sound quality and I was thinking of upgading to their Stratus or Platinum lines. Anyone here own any of the higher end PSB's? Are they worth the money?

I think PSB should be commended for their honesty and value and I hope to see some of their products reviewed here some day.

It is a very good speaker company. Tom Nousaine may still use them. Had his checked at the NRC chambers some years back. Super response.
Yes, their honest is unmatched, at least in print. Even their Canadian competitor, Paradigm, while having researched at NRC have a DBT setup in their facility, still mentions bi-wiring until one asks for their evidence.

I had a pair of 4t's for a while, but I did not upgrade to another psb line. There are much better options at the Stratus and Platinum price points. They may be honest on their website, but I can't say the same for their speakers...

I think the higher end Stratus series are much better then their Paradigm counterparts but then again thats what my ears are telling me. The Stratus series require a robust amplifier to drive them as they are low impedance low sensitivity speakers which make them unsuitable for most receivers.
