What are some really good brands of DVI and HDMI cables.

I need to get some DVI and HDMI cables, and I was wondering what brands
people on this forum would reccomend.

Impact Acoustics "Sonicwave" line looks really nice, and a friend of mine swears by a company called "Bettercables".

I usually use Monster, but thier top 1 Meter HDMI cable is like 200 dollars.

Any thoughts on these two brands, and wehter or not Monster Cable is "Snake Oil".

I have used and tried many brands of DVI cable and have had allot of problems with longer lengths (20ft and longer) sparkles, noise and monitors not syncing are some of the troubles I ran into.

Recently I ordered a 35ft Impact Acoustics DVI cable and did a comprehensive test on it. The cable performed flawlessly in all manners I tried my best to introduce RF into the cable and failed. For more info read the Denon DVD-2910 review here

I have only had experience with the Better Cable component cables
I was less than impressed with this cable for the money others may disagree

Impact accoustics sounds like the best bet

a friend of mine had to return a LONG 30' blue jeans HDMI cable that had too much signal loss.

DVIGear makes a solid HDMI, I just got one and love it. Over an inch thick, 22awg silver plated wires tested to 1080p... can't go wrong

I got one from www.octavainc.com and hooked it up to my Pionner 42". Price is good, andIt works fine. I would never pay $200 bucks for a cable. Its like you said, "snake oil".

What I like about these guys is that they just pakage it simply unlike the ones you buy at the store, where you spend 10 minutes trying to opening the packaging and just end up throwing it ( and your money ) away.
