What are some of the really awesome cd audio system out there?

hey guys, i am pretty new to the audiophile arena and am thinking of buying my first audio system that plays those high fidelity cd....any recommendation or anything to look out for when choosing what system to buy? buget is around 10000 usd.

Is 10K just for a cd player or for the whole 2-channel Speaker/pre/amp/cdp and cables?
