What are some good cables to connect my new BIC Acoustechs?

I just purchaced the BIC Acoustech speakers. And im not sure what kind of speaker wire/sub cable to purchace for them.

I currently use the MONTSTER Composite cable to connect my DVD player to my 50" panny plasma...... im not sure if I should go and get Component cable since when I used HDMI vs my MONSTER Composite, I didnt notice a very big difference in quality so im not sure if I will with Component.

Ok, anyways. My real question here is what speaker wires/sub wires to get.

Monster is preaty pricy so im not sure if I should get monster again.
Any suggestions?

You're right, don't buy Monster again. They are way too expensive. Some say that they are still good quality but I have to dissagree. Working in the field, I have seen more broken Monster Cables than any other cable. Also, their connectors are WAY too tight, tight enough to literally pull the connections out of components.

Get yourself some component or HDMI cables for the DVD player. THIS component cable or THIS HDMI cable will work just as good as Monster and won't destroy your components.

As for speaker wire, THIS is as good as any.

to make a custom sub cable that is just the right length, get some quality quad shield RG-6 coaxial cable (15-20 cents/ft) and a couple RCA connectors. AudioQuest has an ingenious connector system and it is the one thing from them that I actually recommend.

Im being serioius. But is monster cable really that good? I serriously dont notice a "HUGE" difference with MONSTER Composite and HDMI.

I do my absolute best not to ban people unless they break the rules. I try not to ban people on trumped up "charges" simply because I think they are annoying or trolling. Vent's posts, while they seem to be trolls to me, aren't technically trolls. So I've been waiting, patiently, finger over the Smite button. I know, given enough time, a troll will show his true colors. They always do.

I still wonder about that statement where he doesn't notice much difference between composite and HDMI. Unless he is implying that a Monster composite is better than a regular HDMI that comes with a upscaling player, but there it still makes absolutely no sense.

Guess it doesn't matter as he is banned though.
