What amp/receiver for Beolab 12's?

Hi All,
I have a couple of B and O Beolab 12-1 active speakers and a new Samsung Smart TV (2013) and looking to build a good quality home entertainment system from this. I realise I need some type of amp or receiver but am lost in all the details, particularly given the speakers are active which I believe means they are amplified already.
I use apple tv and itunes and dvd etc. and I will be looking to acquire a couple of Beolab 12-3 active speakers to complete the set soon.
Can anyone recommend what type or AV amp or receiver I should be looking for to hook all this up with? My main concern is that I don't limit the potential performance of the speakers (and tv) and am happy to spend some money to make sure of this (but not waste money by getting something I didn't know I didn't need, if you know what i mean!). Not so worried about the brand, more the tech specs I need to look for. Can I get a generic samsung all-in-one unit or should I be spending big on a yamaha type setup?
I live in China at the moment, so getting tech advice at the stores is not very productive!
Thanks for any help
Angus

Those use some sort of proprietary B&O connection. Figures.

The manual mentions using a cable stereo mini jack to RJ45 PL plug for non B&O components.

Maybe there is a single ended (rca) to RJ45 PL available out there, somewhere, I'm not sure. If you can dig such a thing up, or diy, you could use the pre/pro (or AVR with pre-outs) of your choice.
