sellers on ebay often start the pricing low, and let the bidders work the price up to a minimum price the seller requires (the reserve).
So the MSRP might be $10,000, and the price on ebay might be $1,500, but if the price doesn't work itself up to, let's say, $6000, then the seller has the right to cancel the sale.
