The Opus 3 floorstanders are very large speakers, and I no longer have the original boxes for them, hence my preference to have them picked up rather than shipped. I will wrap them safely for transport.

They were purchased new in the U.S. in October 2007, and used in a clean smoke-free home away from direct sunlight. I spent over a year researching and auditioning speakers, and while there is subjectivity in the process, they compared favorably against speakers by B&W 703, Polk LSi25, Von Schweikert VR-2, and speakers by Paradigm, Klipsch, Definitive Technology and Monitor Audio. If you love music as much or more than movies, this is a great system.

They were driven by a Marantz AV7702 preamp/processor and an Emotiva XPA-5 x 200W amp. They're the best speakers I've ever had and I fully intended to keep them for life. However, I moved into a home where they just don't fit well in the available space, so sadly I'm going to have to downgrade. They are in nearly perfect condition. No scratches or marks, but the grills have a couple nubs broken. This is a known factor for these speakers, but they still attach just fine. The Opus 3s look so good without the grills I kept them off.

The total original value was well over $5,500 USD. I'm asking $1,500 for the Opus 3 floorstanding speakers, $400 for the Tri-Centre, and will add the Tri-Surround rear speakers for free. The rears also a beautiful deep gloss piano finish, but in maple. That's $1,900, well over 66% less than the original price. I will not let this deal sit for long, because my audio store already made a bid on these, and I can just trade them in. This is your chance to get them for a better price than anyone has likely ever had in the Chicagoland area.

The Opus 3 are huge, and go all the way down to an impressive 23Hz, so you don't necessarily need a subwoofer. If you want one, I'm also selling a Sunfire True Sub Super Jr for $300 (originally $949).
