guys, if you are not buying these speakers riht now you are CRAZY! they can to me today and the fit and finish as well as the asthetic appeal of these speakers is AWSOME! the look as good as any speaker i have ever seen! Thiel, B&W and Wilson! they look sweet! the sound, very good. i am comparing them to my previous B&W 705 and they are very similar, not as detailed as my thiel cs3.6 but still excellent!

i am not sure i am qualified to leave an accurate review but will try in the next couple weeks. i have them thumping with my HSU VTF2-MK2 and it is sweet! i got t9o say, i have suggested this deal to 2 of my buddies here and town and told them to jump on it now! real wood veneers for $1000 for a 5.1 system! axiom can't even compete!

How would these compare to other $1000 price point sets, like the SBS 5.1?
And from your initial experience, do they handle music or movies better?
Oh, and actually, are the surrounds really as unattractive as the photos show them to be?

Now I know why it was on sale -- the Evo2 was about to come out. I wish I had the money to get it then, what a deal. I have the Evo Center and Surrounds, and now I can't find the Evo 8 and Evo 40 to match anywhere, even on eBay.
