Westinghouse 47" 1080P LCD a BB

Best Buy just started carrying the 47" model and subsequently dropped the price of the 42 incher to $1499 (it was $1799 when I demo'd it over there about 3 weeks ago) and have the 47" big daddy on sale for $1799 right now. That's a pretty awesome deal imo. Now if my new platinum card will arrive in the next day or two..........

Actually, you might be able to get a better deal with BB's own card. Hear me out.. hehe. Normally, they'll bend you over with their ungodly interest rates, but occasionally (as I think they're doing now), you can get two or three years zero interest on big purchases like HDTVs. Even at "only" two years, that's less than a hundred bucks a month to have the whole thing paid off. Even I can afford that, and I'm a poor boy.

Still waiting, though... even as cheap as the 47" is, there's Black Friday coming up. Might be worth waiting for to see what they do for the holidays.

That is what I did for the 42". I paid $1429 and got 36 months no interest. All I have to do is pay 40 bucks a month or pay it off anytime before. The trick is that if you don't pay it off in the 36 they nail you with all the interest for all 36 months.

Or if you're late with a payment, but with payments that low, it's not that big a deal, really, as long as you can squeeze out the minimum due (which is only twenty bucks for the 47") if you have a tight month.

That's the way I'm looking to go. Just waiting for the right time to pounce. I could probably do it now, but it just doesn't feel like the right time. I've got to reorganize my living room, too. Just bought a TV stand to replace the big entertainment center that I have, so I've got to shuffle all that stuff around.

Something to be said for buying a TV stand that's more than three feet wide and realizing that the display screen of the TV that's going on it is actually even wider.

The BB 42" was the 720p not 1080p
