Weird sub experience

I had a weird experience with my sub last night. I popped in SW EP3, and it took me all of about 5 seconds into the opening battle scene to realize I had no subwoofer signal.

I checked the power light on the sub and it was both green & on, unplugged and replugged sub power & RCA cable, unplugged from surge protector and replugged....all connections good, but still no sub output. I tried to run test tones, and nothing.....no subwoofer detected. Both a light and the sub are connected to the same surge protector, and both had power, so everything checked out ok, but no sub output.

I checked the subwoofer fuse, and it was ok, unplugged and replugged surge protector, and everything was still ok because both the light and sub had power. I ran test tones again, and the sub was working again.

Weird, eh??

Geesh... tell me about it. I was a very worried person for about 15 minutes last night.

Get some kids. They'll do things to your receiver that you didn't think possible. You'll spend hours thinking it is irreparably damaged as you struggle to fix whatever it is. I've spent more than one afternoon sweating with anxiety over something like that.

My kids wouldn't THINK of touching my rig. They fear the wrath of dad! :D
