Weird clicking noise from computer.

I have my computer connected to my receiver via a Y-cable. This is analog.

When I have my receiver turned up pretty loud, (around -20 or over -20) there is clicking noises when I type on the keyboard, a weird humming noise comping from the left tower, and some fuzz from the right tower. The buzzing gets louder when I move the mouse around.

This is not very loud. But it still interferes with music.Very annoying. Is this because im not connected digitally to my computer?

Im using an ASUS ASUS A7V400-MX with SoundMax Digital Audio (onboard). It is not really digital since I can only hook up analog.

Fixed it! I muted line in on my soundcard that is used for playback. I have a cord plugged into line in. It's a cord with two 3.5mm jacks on either end. The other end must be touching something.

I use two soundcards:
one for playback
one for recording

might want to try a different offboard sound card also. I had this problem on my abit ic7-max3 onboard soundcard until i moved to a pci card. I recommend a chaintech av-710 ($24 at newegg.com). This has toslink out so you can do digital if you want, or has a 192khz connection. definately a good card for the money
