Folks,
Haha! Oh man, good old Weird Al, yeah he's still around. I used to be really big into this music in Junior High, but have found it hard to really listen all that much anymore, kind of like what Sheep said. I think I still have his album Polka Party, and Even Worse.
I just read about this album a few weeks ago in the news. Apparently Weird Al also has a MySpace.com page. It's linked off of his official website, weirdal.com. Kind of funny really. You can listen to a couple of the new songs from the album there.
Thanks Sheep for sharing the lyrics to the Canadian song. It sure is fun to tease a Canadian as long as they are ok with it. I have had several very good friends who are Canadians, and they are some of the most fun and interesting people I have ever met!
I had a roommate once when I was living in Switzerland who was Canadian, from Saskatchewan, it was winter at the time, and would always refer to his knit hat as a Tuque, or however you spell it. In fact, I am surprised that wasn't in that song. He did talk about his Kraft dinner often, and loved hockey. And yes, he did say "Aboot" instead of about, and "Soh-rry" instead of sorry. Oh, yes, and he did call me Hoser all the time too. So it's not just stereotying, it is real!
