I was told buy the super high end installers to not hook my 8802a and XPA 5 gen 3 using balanced cables as it will sound better with RCA due to its not Deseret style ? he was not positive on the 8802a but was positive on the Emotiva That hooking the 8802a to XPA 5 gen 3 will sound better with RCA over balanced cables ,
I will be ordering cables soon ,so What The Frankfurter ?? )-:

Huh? I use XLR for my sub and if I had it for all my channels, I would use it for all of them. I am not sure what they are talking about - XLR would be fully discrete also. XLR has better noise rejection, which is why it is use on professional gear, but for short runs between an amp and pre, likely noise isn't an issue, but I'd still use them.

What rca cables were they proposing to sell you? What lengths are we talking about in this setup?
