Warm Denon Pre/Pro w/ AMP

I'm currently using a Denon AVR-3805 as a Pre/Pro in a 5.1 System with an Outlaw 755 driving all 5 Speakers. The Denon however still seem's to Warm up a fair bit at High levels eventhough the Outlaw is driving all the speakers. Now it's not "Hot" just warmer than I thought it should be, is this normal ? is there a away to shup down the AMPS in the Denon completely ? The reason I ask is not so much that the heat's a problem but that for the denon to heat up it must be consuming electricity and I'd like to reduce consumption from the Denon as much as possible as the Outlaw's doing all the "Grunt" work.

Any Ideas suggestions ?

Thanks :)

I remember at the 5805 class we were told that if you use these as pre-pros they will run even warmer than if you use the amps. Don't nkow why this would not also apply to the 3805 as well.

I am not aware of any way to shut down the amps.
