Wanting some comments on a wireless sub connection system.

I have found a couple on line for about 60.00 for the transmitter and receiver. I would like someone with experience using a wireless system (pros and cons).

The only con is if the receiver picks up frequency bands outside of what the transmitter is sending, you can get a lot of popping and crackling sounds. Also, if the transmitter is sending out the signal too widely, it can interfere with other electronic devices.

I've got a couple Infinity subs that came with a transmitter and a built in receiver, works fine. I've had no issues with signal/interference. Can be pretty convenient especially during setup. Might want to post up details of the particular units you're thinking about buying for comments on particular issues with that make/model.

I went and bought the rockfish kit, so far so good. I have a bic f12 on the way. I have been using a 10 inch Yamaha down firing powered subwoofer until the Bic shows up. I have a 10 inch Dayton reference sub mounted in the wall behind my tv powered with a Dayton 230 subwoofer amp. Its not the ideal location as it shakes the walls really good when I turn up the volume. I plan to find a balance between the both. I am running both with a y-splitter and a Denon AVR X2000. I have noticed that through the splitter the amps need more volume to trigger. I have raised the low frequency on the denon effect which seemed to send more of a signal to the powered sub amps. Thanks again for the recommendation.

Good luck on your integration!

As far as the auto on goes, you also might try lowering gain on your sub's amp a bit and running Audyssey again....since you seem to need a higher level signal from the avr to trigger, this is the best way to get there to maintain proper levels, or you can simply raise the sub channel level a bit (maybe you did the latter, but "raised the low frequency on the denon effect" is a bit confusing). You could just leave the sub in the "on" position, too.
