I am wanting to go 7.1 Audio (Already have the Speakers and Woofer's)

I will be getting the PS3 for HD Blue-Ray AND gaming (Below)

For a Receiver I am looking at YAMAHA (links below)

In regards the Receivers I basically want something Like these two. I want good quality and one that will work WELL with the above equipment.

Video Only has these Receivers for a lot cheaper.

- JUST my BIG QUESTION is,

Will what I have listed give me GREAT sound and performance? Will the PS3 work well with the 7.1 ch Receiver giving me sound out of ALL speakers?

THANKS in Advance guy's!! :)

I am turning into a very go too guy it seems.

Like Mazer asked, your speakers dictate what receiver you get, not the other way around. Room dimensions and listening habits would be useful information as well.

Also, I do not understand your signature samsungson.:)

Look,

I'm not too proud of my current setup so I'm making some MUCH needed upgrades.

In my signature, I am using that JVC shelf top system as my front left an my front right. Those speakers also have 5 inch subs in them. They are Very powerful and sound great.

Then I have Pioneer surround speakers that cover: front center, Back right and left, and one in the center back. I also have a 7th speaker but don't know where to quite p

Always be proud. If don't matter what you have. As long as you enjoy it, and your having fun with this hobby. :D

Do you know what Pioneer surround speakers, the model number you have?

I will get those product numbers. I could never find the info on them anymore??

You should see the back of that shelf top stereo!! I'm bleeding THREE surround speakers off the ONLY front Left and Right speaker spots on the back. I am AMAZED at the sound that comes out of these speakers with all that working together. I can't wait to get a Receiver!!

I'm sure I remember trying to find out the info on your speakers when you joined. If I recall your setup correctly, I'm thinking there might be a better way for you to really get started. Check out this deal.
http://www.av123.com/products_product.php?section=speakers&product=109.1 Four x-ls and an x-cs for speakers, an x-sub, Denon receiver and DVD player for $999. It's entry level to be sure, but it would be a far greater upgrade as a package than trying to work around the limitations of your current speakers. Plus, it is a solid foundation upon which you could build a great system over time, even starting by adding better mains and turning good 5.1 into great 7.1 later.

It's just a suggestion I'm throwing out there. I thought it looked like a heck of a deal.

I will..... uh....., second that recommendation.:D Why isn't that in the Deals, Deals, Deals! section? If I had $1000 to spend, that is definitely what I would buy, no question in my mind. Shipping might bite a little though.

Samsungson, no offense, but connected those Pioneer and JVC speakers to a $600-$1000 receiver is not going to yeild impressive results, I would very strongly consider the AV123/Denon combo.:)

My room is 17ft by 40ft

I know, PERFECT for projector.

Just painted my theater room a bergundy satin. Looks Awesome, it's a start.
