Anyone selling these? Definitely not looking for retail price. A bargain rather. Used/new.

Any comments are welcome as I am a nooby going down this rabbit hole.

Yamaha just announced there new series, I would look at that or find a 5100. The 5200 is not much better unless you really want AI manipulating your sound profiles

Unfortunately you will not find a deal on the 5200. They are sold out everywhere and hard to find. If you find a used one expect to pay around $2k for it. The next CX series probably won’t drop until end of 2021 maybe early 2022. It’s very nice processor.

+1 on this it took my forever to find one and that's only because I have a great dealer who got really really lucky it will be awhile before you find one and don't expect a bargain on used right now with current demand you might get lucky might

P.S. consider a better Amp then the MX-A5200. There's a lot better for your money out there. For example a 5 channel and 7 channel Outlaw 5000 and 7000 would be a very potent combination for anything but very large rooms for half the cost. And way more stable all channels driven and into 4 ohms then MX would be

Mmh good to know there is a new line coming. I do think the preamp looks dated. The new models look better; but I am willing to oversee aesthetics for the sake of sound quality. Likely the 5200 series will be on sale when the new line comes out. Thank you for the heads up.

I really like the 5200 amp because it takes care of 11 channel as a single unit. I am not into the idea of adding multiple amps to achieve the same result unless the sound quality and cost outweighs the Yamaha. Also, the power capacity to blow my windows and doors is not a requirement.

I definitely wouldn't like additional audio processing. As close to original mastering is what I look for.

As a side note, I am in the middle of building a KEF home theater. I have 3 q950s (waiting on a 4th) and center. I am planning to add 4 ceiling thx speakers by kef. So I made the decision of going separates as 'ultimate solution' and forget about it until say 10 years down the road.

I would have to know your room size speaker sensitivity to answer that. But they don't even spec all channels driven on that amp for a reason. If I buy something for that price I want to know it can be driven all out into 8 and 4 ohm loads and be completely stable.

If your into a all in one package I'd recommend the monoprice 11 channel Amp. It's not about loud it's more about having headroom for me.

BUT having said all that the Yamaha Amp is sexy and would look boss matching with the Yamaha preamp and if you legitimately don't need much power in your room size. I can dig what your saying Lol

Yeah while the pre-pro from Yamaha might be nice there are other amp alternatives, altho if you want 11ch of amp in one box that is a significant limitation in choice (let alone amp power/quality).

As lovinthehd mentioned, an alternative would be the Monoprice 11 ch. amp. What would be better?

Personally I find little value in putting all the amp needs in one box, particularly more than 5/7 channel....and still makes a difference as to distance/level involved. I'd rather have a stack of capable 2ch amps than one of these 11ch amps that basically only address the needs of the front 3 channels, maybe including some reduced levels for surrounds (assuming your distances and sensitivity levels work out if you do have 11h of amp)

If I was going with 11 channel? The monoprice all day long. Best value for a 11 channel amp you have. Those things are built for Monoprice by ATI you can't ask for better then that.
