I have this perceptual need for a 125W (RMS) @ 8 Ohm, both channels driven, stereo power amplifier. It should have a 100db S/N and a decent damping - and not need a fan. I prefer Class AB to switching type PA's, too. The HD and IMD should be low, too. Finally - not over $200 (Okay... maybe $300... but no more!)! I know the venerable Alesis RA500 may be a solution, as might the more recent Behringer A500. I know the latter has had it's problems, including HD that is a function of it's gain pot position (I could leave them wide open and control the level elsewhere.). Anyone have experience with one or both of them, I'd like to read your opinions/experiences or suggestions. Thanks!
