Hey guys,
I'm considering mounting my Panny 50" above fireplace mantle. I don't use the fireplace and thought it would look good there and this would free up some space between speakers. I'm looking at the Sanus MPL50B mount, any thoughts about that mount, Amazon $80 delivered. My concern is will it be to close to wall to make input connections, I can't go through wall. I want to relocate my equipment rack on side wall and not between speakers also. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance....Jeff

Putting flat screens above a fireplace is a very bad idea, because the screen is too high and it is very uncomfortable. The bottom of the screen should be about 30 inches above the floor.

The more I look at it you seem to be right. The bottom of TV would be 41 inches from floor, and would have to be looking up and straining neck to see, uncomfortable....I'll have to come up with another solution, maybe build small stand for TV only and move equipment rack to another location, I just do not feel comfortable with the rack and all of my components between speakers, even though speakers are well out into the room and a few feet from the rack. Thank you for your time...Best regards, Jeff
