I saw Dewey Cox last night and loved it. It's a fine satire of rock music culture that spans mythic events for 3 decades. We get Buddy Holley at the Apollo, Johnny Cash and June Carter, encounters with Elvis, The Beatles in India, Brian Wilson's Smile meltdown and so on. The satire reminded me of some sort of fusion of Spinal Tap and Zelig. John C Riley is great and the befuddled rock star who tries to reclaim his deteriorated life. This is a don't miss for music fans.
