So I am torn between these two receivers.. Through my searches both can be had for about the same price with $10USD soi am finding it hard to choose. I know the 92 has more wpc, 130w, with the 03 having 110wpc. Not that big of a deal here, my speakers are rated for up to 200 continuous watts. I like to cosmetics of the 92, not as many buttons on the front panel, but hate that remote! I know horrible reason, just have to buy a nicer Logitech. So are there any other features that got lost in the transition because I know that the 03 is set to replace the 92. I am using a PS3 for BD activities, HD-DVR, and my Apple media computer. I am using Energy Refrence Connesouir series fronts and center with the back being Klipsch RF... and an SVS CS Ultra. Being that both can be had for around the same coin which would you choose? Does anyone have the 03 yet? How do the 92 owners like theirs? Cheers and thanks in advance.

Ya thats the way I am leaning. Went to play with one at BestBuy today and I dont know if it was the speakers or source, they were using a Pioneer BD player and DefTech Mythos mains, but damn did it sound muddy. NOT a good audition. They were running John Mayer acoustical live I believe. Im going to give it another shot on another day, hopefully they will get their act together. Of course I could not get anyone to adjust it, no help anywhere. So I shall return. Either way I know that a Pioneer Elite cannot sound that bad, and neither do DefTech's. Cheers.

Well it turns out that remodeling an ENTIRE house is a bit more expensive than I budgeted. How does the VSX-1018AH compare? I know its not an Elite, but there are only a few options that are not carried over, most of which I dont really need such as THX certification. I am now limited to a budget of $550.00, and at that price point this seems to be the kicker. It has the most features and the highest power output that I can see between Pioneer, Onkyo, & Yamaha, Denon and Marantz are completely out of the question. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

The Avr does not have "sound" it had to be the source or the speakers
