Voter apathy

We have an erection ermm election coming up, a municpal one but I don't care to vote. Everytime I new person comes in, they promise no more tax hikes, better services, etc and once the new people are in they usually increase taxes, cut back services with a statement saying.."the city budget is much worse than initially thought" The old guard thats in there now are just a bunch of old squabling codgers who broke promises of raising taxes many years ago. Its become a country club of sorts.

Politicians are people who are licensed to lie to the general public.

You and I both know that ain't happening. Last time a Dem won in this state it was because the Rep didn't shake hands and was despised by his own party. I really wanted the Senator lady to take over at least, but I guess I 35 will be a toll road now.

Yeah. I just did some checking and in a recent poll it's 49% perry 41% white. I'm sure plenty of people in this state just vote on straight party lines without giving a damn, but I honestly don't know how anybody could continue to vote for him :/
