I would like to keep this open and friendly and just vote.

So here's my 2 cents!

I passionately belive that Yamaha makes as good as anybody, including Denon!!

Please vote for and list your favorite AVR Reciever manufacturer, and please respect others input.
This could be fun and informative.

Cheers

Onkyo. I've had many over the years and not a single problem. Currently waiting for the 702 for my next upgrade.

Have to say H/K. Great sound quality, and true power ratings on their receivers and amps.

NAD-I don't use many features so I appreciate the simplicity, power, and great sound quality.

My vote goes to everything except technics/panasonic, sony, jvc, quest, and kenwood. Yamaha, denon, h/k, maranzt, rotel, nad are all good. The only way you could pick a winner is if you got all the features you want at the price you want.

I currently have a Yamaha R9 and RX 1. The RX 1 was repaired under warranty after I lost a channel. There apparently was a service bullentin on it. Shortly after that my Yamaha DVD player went out, out of warranty. I'm ready to give up on Yamaha and try Denon or Pioneer. I find the myriad of DSP modes a completely waste of money for me. Denon certainly has simplified the AVR's in that respect. I like Pioneers Elite series but again more DSP modes then I need and assume pay for in the cost of the product. Has anyone else had problems with Yamaha like me? The build quality of Yamaha is superb, I've just had problems.

Yamaha "great product"

I have the new RXZ9 from Yamaha, what a performing receiver, had my doubts about price at first, but after listening to it at home all my misconceptions or worries were put to rest. The flagship RXZ9 is a beast.
