Voom has finally been closed by its board of directors after losing over 600mil and only putting on 26000 customers. The good news is both DTV and Dish are scrambling to make something good come of it. DTV is offering a $200 sign on bonus for a 1 year contract for Voom customers and Dishnetwork bought their satellite in January and will keep around 10 of their HD channels.
I'm a little suprised that Voom did not make it. I guess that they needed more channels and more equipment options to take on non HD customers.
