Hello there, people who know more about audio equipment than I could ever hope to.
The Master Volume Control on my AVR-2106 does not work properly. While we watch TV, it does not increase and decrease the sound gradually. There is no sound at all until the volume reaches a certain point, and after it comes on we cannot change the sound level at all, beyond turning it all the way off. In effect, we only have one level of volume. And it is loud.
Any advice you have would be very, VERY appreciated, since the nearest Denon service center is several hours away.
