Volume loss using Niles Selector

I have setup a new home theater with the following:
DENON AVR 4250CI Receiver, Rated 125 watts per channel & 3 Zones
Definitive Technology Monitor 1000 (Main) Super Cube 4000 Sub, Niles In-Ceiling, Definitive Technology AW5500 Outdoor speaker (Two pair), Niles SSCV-2 selector with volume.
Problem is I connected the Niles selector to ZONE 2 of the receiver, then connected the two pairs of outdoor speakers to one of each available A/B switch.
I get sound from both sets, but at a very reduced volume. If speakers are connected to their own zone they blast! 90db+.
What can cause such a drop in wattage?

Just in case you aren't aware of the selectable impedance selector on there.
In your case it should be set for "2" sets of speakers.
If it's in the wrong setting it will cause the volume to be lower.

Me thinks we're talking about the same thing...
