what is the best volume level set up( half or more than half) for sub for movies & muti channel music?

get one of the THX test programs (you can find it on Star Wars, King Arthur, and a number of other DVD's).

it will run you through to set the volumes correctly.

dobamar, that depends on the room size and each person's preference...and most especially what sub you have.

I thing the other posts forgot to tell you that you will need an SPL meter. Radio Shack has them, analog, about $40.

You should set the volme where you like it, regardless of where is it on the dial. Obviously, try to get a balance, but if you feel the bass is too loud or too weak, adjust it!
