Volume Keeps Going Down

I have a Yamaha HTR-6130 and while I am watching TV the volume will randomly go very low. To fix it I have to turn the receiver off and back on. Any idea what is could be causing it to do this?

That unit needs to go in for service. Either there is a problem with the volume control circuit, or some circuit dropping a crucial voltage, and being reset when you switch it of. It is not uncommon for faults to start this way. Generally when a problem like this starts you are on your way to total failure.
