Vizio is moving into the ultra-large TV market with the launch of six new LED TVs ranging from 55"-70". Every TV in the lineup has at least a 120Hz refresh rate, built-in WiFi, a Qwerty remote, and a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Two of the new models have passive 3D technology. The real story with each of these sets is the price, ranging from $999 to $1999 (listed in the specs table). Vizio is known for producing TVs that are a great value, and they seem to have done that with these new sets. If you are looking for the absolute best picture quality on the market, look elsewhere, but be prepared to pay more. If you are looking for an ultra-large LED TV with built-in WiFi at a great price, then Vizio might have what you want with one of these new sets. The new TVs are currently for sale at Costco Wholesale, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Amazon.com, Target, BJ’s Wholesale, ebay.com, VIZIO.com and other retailers.

I'm anxious to see how the new 70" compares to the current entry level offering 70" from Sharp.

Considering Sharp pretty much stops at 52" as their smallest size these days, I wouldn't consider 55" anywhere near 'ultra-large'.

I mean, Sharp has two sizes beyond 70" at this time! Samsung and Panasonic have larger sizes as well. I would call the sizes above 70" 'ultra-large'.

Panny wins with their 150" model. Beastly!

I agree that the 55" and 60" aren't that big anyone, but Vizio touts this release as "ultra-large"

I am with you about the panny, not only in terms of size but I have always gravitated towards plasma tvs....Well, not the Samsung plasmas. Pioneer :( and Panasonic.

Has anyone seen the 90" sharp. It is a monster! Obviously not as big ast he 150" panny, but the the sharp is on display at some Magnolias.

Yeah, the Magnolia near my home has the 90" Sharp. They were doing a demolition/remodel so they were getting rid of it for $8,000. Still not in my budget.

The disappointing part is that after having front projection, 90" just doesn't seem that big.

Oh, and I've installed the 85" Panasonic - it is, by far, my favorite display out there.

Our local Wally World just got them in and set them up tonight, they are very nice, I just wished they were 3D since I am in the market for an LED 3D smart TV now. I have a 42" Vizio 3D HD LCD smart TV in my bedroom and am very satisfied with it, and haven't heard about anyone having problems with them for quite a while now.

Which ones aren't 3D? They only list one on their website that I could find and it is definitely 3D...
