I have inherited my gradmothers Vinyl collection,
I haven't had a chance yet to inventory the entire collection, but hauling them all out and boxing them up, I remember seeing a lot of Etta james originals, and Tons and Tons of Classical music. Heavy duty vinyl, I think when time allows I may index them, and take them to someone that knows about collections. most of them are dated in the 50's and before.

I think a few of her childrens albums were in there as well.
Some original Beatles , Doors, Motown were in there.

Anyone know a good resource for checking prices

I was going to take them to a Vinyl reseller for 1$ a piece but something tells me it will be worth my time to do some research on all of them.
Or even go out and by a turntable.

If they belonged to your grandmother by all means hang on to them for if no other reason than sentimentality , Most records that have seen a fair amount of play are not as you say going to bring top dollar except in rare cases.
I still have most of mine dating from the late 50's Elvis,Buddy, etc. up to the mid 70's ....even have as your Gram a small collection of classical music :)

Great to hear. Get yourself a TT and listen to them. You will fall in love with music in a whole new way. Congrats. If you do decide to sell the records, try in the classified section.
