I'm demoing Paradigm Studio 20s today. Any thoughts on those?
I own and love them (Studio 20V5). :) I have also owned Mordaunt Short Avanti 902i's and Energy RC-10's. The Studio 20's are a definite step up the food chain over those.

When I was auditioning, I compared them with Mordaunt Short Mezzo 2, B&W CM-1 and CM5 - all in the same showroom. IIRC correctly, the Mezzo 2 were very good speakers, but construction wasn't as strong as the Studios and I could sense a bit of vibration when I knocked on them, whereas the Studios were more inert. The CM-1 would "break up" at lower power input than the Studios. And, if memory serves, the CM-5 was too bright for my liking.

Here is a thread that compares the Studio 20V5 against several other speakers: http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/loudspeakers/57469-notes-auditioning-speakers.html

Hope that is of some help.

The Bach Grands are my favorite speaker I've heard in my room in the last ten years. They have a lot of body, image well and are never fatiguing. Most speakers I've heard in my room sound a bit lean in comparison.

That said, my speaker history is on the (relatively) lower end of the scale:

Paradigm Studio 40
Polk LSi15
Epos ELS-3
Klipsch Heresy II
whatever the bookshelf Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers are called
Rega RS3

The only thing I don't like about them is they are not as fast as some speakers and they have a small sweet spot in my room.
