Hello I have a Denon 3400 I have it connected to my projector for a home theater setup on zone 1 and I'm wondering if I connect another HDMI on zone 2 to the same projector can I listen to Bluetooth music on zone 1 in the same room if that makes sense?

Didn’t make sense to me, or apparently anyone else...

Didn't or doesn't?. I want to watch a video from my PS3 while listening to Bluetooth. Those are 2 different sources on your receiver that apparently can't be played at the same time. My Denon is 2 zone capable so I was wondering if someone has tried using zone 2 for the video and zone 1 for Bluetooth does that help explain?

Assume zone 1 is main zone...Denons have a feature on some of their avrs to have different audio/video (on mine with the remote use setup menu to inputs/video source/video select) altho I've never used this feature with my Denon (4520) and I assume this is for use within the same zone...altho if I go to the network input settings (assume BT plays thru network?) then I get no choice of video. I think the source has to be video based itself; for my blu-ray input I have video select choices of: default, cbl/sat, dvd, blu-ray (which I find curious as assume that is default but didn't dig into the manual for an explanation),aux 1, media player only. I've never used this feature, just noticed it before. I've never tried to use this feature, tho. What does the 3500 manual indicate?

Sorry I'm new to this Denon and know it does a million things when I get some spare time I'm just going to try it I was only asking here because I thought someone had already tried this. The distance from my Avr to my projector is 30 ft plus and I didn't want to have to purchase another one if it didn't work I'll just have to temp move them closer together and use my 10ft HDMI cable. I read that if your not using HDMI it's possible. Like for example if your cable box is hooked to your receiver over HDMI and your watching a program and you want to watch that program but listen to Pandora over Bluetooth it won't work. But same scenario and the cable box is hooked to your receiver with just RCA's you can watch a show and listen to Bluetooth music on Pandora. So my thought is cable box hooked in on zone 2 over HDMI and Bluetooth Pandora on zone 1 at the same time . Since zone 2 won't have any speakers hooked up you should get no audio just video. I don't know maybe it works?

Not a big zone user but wasn't thinking bluetooth would have drm restrictions like some zone use. What input do you use for bluetooth stuff? Why do you use bluetooth instead of wifi, tho?
