Video Up-conversion

Got a little issue that I need some help with.

Just got my projector (H31) up and running a week ago and I am enjoying it. There's just one problem. My cable company only provides set-top cable boxes that have composite video outputs. I know that I can just run cable through the composite video input on the projector, but is there any other way that I could possibly get the composite to be a s-video or component video signal without changing my receiver?

Is there a device out there that would up-convert for a couple bucks until I am ready to replace my current receiver?

Looking for some temporary options as I am just in the middle of ordering my 3 DV62CLR's from Ed Frias and do not really want to afford a new receiver at this point.

Also, is the Pioneer 1015 the best and most affordable option at this point if I have to upgrade the receiver?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Composite to Svideo

Pick up a simple video selector box like this from Radio Shack or on line.

One thing you might notice, however, is the poor quality of the composite video signal when shown on a large projector screen. To fix this you will need to upgrade to digital cable or satellite.

I have the Yamaha HTR-5860 which includes the video conversion feature. You can find it in the $3-350 price range.
