Can I use a 2female to 1 male audio splitter as a video splitter? I only have one component input on my tv and I want to connect the cablebox and the DVD player using components.

I doubt it

What you're trying to do is use a splitter as a combiner.

While you most lilely can split one output to two inputs, but problems tend to arise when combining two outputs into one input.

Just pick up a switch at WalMart or the like. I got a four way Philips for $20 at the store. I can't find it on line

Dumb question:eek: ? Do you have a H/T receiver that can help with the lack of component inputs on your tv.

What's with this 10 character minimum? I tried to say no 3 different ways and all were too short

Will that degrade the signal? It's only like a 6' run from the dvd and cable box to the TV.

What you are saying is like if you could stop home to change your dirty underwear when being rushed to the hospital for a near fatal gunshot wound.

It'll degrade the signal a heckuva lot less than trying to combine two outputs into one input. Odds are you won't even notice it.

Yup, you need 10 characters. You should have tried it 5-6 different ways x2 letters would have been 10 at least:D
