video sheilding

i have a question..... i have a ls-6c center channel by cerwin vega and im trying to get a replacement tweeter for it, but they dont make the speaker anymore and the tweeter for the tweeter that they have for a replacement is not video sheilded, so i need to know should i replace the whole center channel and if so with what that is as powerful as the one i got or can i get the one that is not sheilded and get take off the magnet from the old tweeter and get it shielded to the new one

If you don't have a CRT based Television/monitor, video shielding is a moot point.

I'd look on eBay or Craigslist and see if you can locate another one of the same speaker then you have the old one for parts if anything else fails. Otherwise, just replace it with another CV center; they shouldn't be hard to find.
