Video Pass Thru

I have a AVR 887, the video output is Component, If i use a composit , or HMDI video input i get no video. Does anyone have an aswer or explanation. I understand that it does not downcovert.

It should upconvert composite to component so I don't know why that's not working, but there's no way it's going to output HDMI over component, it doesn't do digital->analog video conversion besides the obvious HDCP issues that would cause.

I think what you need to do is go into the video setup menu and turn video convert on for that source.
