vibrating wood floors

Hi this is my first post. I have a yamaha rx-v995 just got it a month ago, and this piece of equipment has lauched me into a new plane of exitence, well for my question: i have a pair of Cerwins DX3 floors and when i crank this system up, my floor vibrates it is a raised floor, old house. what can i do?

If the vibration is not audible, I wouldn't worry about it. You're not going to knock the house down. If the vibration is annoyingly audible [rattling], you have some experimenting to do. My first thought would be to make a pair of 3/4 inch thick plywood or MDF platforms. Cut them a little bigger than the bottom dimensions of the speaker. Put some felt or rubber pad feet under them. Set your speakers on them and see if that works.

Is this vibration something you feel or hear rattling? Could it be something else rattling?

I can feel the floor vibrating especially barefoot, its like the floor reaches its resonant frequency. at a certain volume. I have placed exterior sandwiched insulted siding they use on outside walls under the speakers.it helped a bit. the speakers dont directly vibrate the floor from being on the floor. but at high volumes the floor colors the sound. I hate carpet.

Screw down the floor then wood patch/stain over the heads.
Or
Place a large rug on floor with a sheet of DynaMat under it. (carpet padding under rug is cheaper)
Or
Crawl under house & tap in support pillars to "tighten up" the floor. This sounds hard but it may only take 2-4 pillars. Home depot has all the materials. Ive done this before & it can work wonders. Place the pillars under the floor joists not the plywood fyi. Use concrete bases so the wood doesnt rot.
Or maybe
Auralex SubDudes under each speaker. Might be too wobbly though & you mentioned its not do to coupling so this might not be the answer. Just a thought!

fixing floors

Thanx so much for the info. floor joists and concrete pillars will solve it. i will need to get a jack. or turn the volume down NAAAAA
