Wonder if anyone knows if my 8" subwoofer is 8 or 4 ohms? I tried to attach a photo, but it's not letting me. It appears to only have one (right & left) speaker terminal, so I think it's a single coil. Makes me believe its 4 ohm, but I don't know. Just want to order a replacement, and the correct also.
Thanks

Well a replacement would come from Velodyne and I doubt they support it any more as a guess, plus they have just changed hands again and may not have much up and running for customer service but try https://www.velodyneacoustics.com/ . Using another driver of same diameter or impedance isn't the most important factor, you'd need to model the driver for the box to see if suitable. Also some Velodyne subs were servo controlled....I don't know if that causes a problem for the amp when changing to another driver either. It's an old 8" sub, I'd just get something else rather than throw money at it.
